Each year, Trend Micro, one of the world’s leading producers of digital security solutions, publishes a study on the most dangerous cyber threats so as to increase public awareness of the crucial issues of cyber security and to recommend the most effective means of combatting the threat. After a number of previous editions, the organization wanted to increase media attention on this content in 2016.

We created #SecurityBarcamp, a sort of talk-show event at which Trend Micro presents and analyzes data together with its partners and other Internet experts, to be an interactive event featuring social, coworking settings and a collection of a range of experiences that provides a thorough framework of the issue.

The first #SecurityBarcamp was at the coworking space Open for an event that attracted an excellent range of guests and speakers from Fujitsu, MicroEll, Radio 24, Replay, Sirti, and VMware. The second edition was held at SPIN and featured: Gastone Nencini, Country Manager for Trend Micro Italy; Rik Ferguson, Trend Micro Vice President Security Research; Paolo Lezzi, Founder & CEO for In the Cyber; Marco Montesanto, IT Manager at Telethon; Carla Targa, Senior Marketing & Communication Manager for Trend Micro Italy; Roberto Rasia dal Polo, journalist. Many media outlets participated in and wrote about the event and its content.
